The registration number is not the change-of-use authorisation: it is a second requirement, mandatory for every holiday let, including your main residence. Its issuing service changes by the end of 2026.

The national online service is coming

Since 20 May 2026 the Tourism Code requires declaration through a national online service. According to the Directorate-General for Enterprise, it is due to open in Q4 2026; local numbers will then have to be renewed there within several months, after which old numbers become invalid.
